“God, please don’t let us regret our oath” – Nigerian soldier cries over daily deaths of troops amid bandit attacks
A Nigerian soldier has opened up online in an emotional post, lamenting the constant loss of fellow troops to kidnappers, bandits, and Boko Haram insurgents across the country.
In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @General_Somto, he expressed the pain of seeing brave men fall while risking their lives daily to protect Nigerians.
“We are losing our gallant men every day to kidnappers, bandits, Boko Haram. Ahhh… God, you’re our last hope and Savior. Please don’t let us regret the oath we took,” he said.
He revealed that many of his colleagues have been killed in the line of duty while battling criminal groups and terrorists.
The soldier’s heartfelt words called on God for intervention, describing the situation as truly heartbreaking for those on the battlefield.
Despite the sacrifices of soldiers on the frontlines, attacks by insurgents and criminal gangs continue in various parts of Nigeria.
The soldier’s emotional plea has since resonated with Nigerians nationwide, sparking calls for stronger support, more prayers.
