David De Gea has snubbed Real Madrid and has committed his future to Manchester United after sealing a new five year deal at Old Trafford.
The Spanish under-21 star was a subject of transfer rumors after talks over a new Manchester United contract stalled and Real Madrid indicated their interest in the young goalie. Manchester United were quick to act and have ensured that De Gea signed a new deal as soon as possible. De Gea will now be earning £120,000 a week which is double what he was earning on his former deal.
De Gea’s new contract would be seen as reward for his very much improved performances in the last year.
