Christian Woman, Patricia Mahmoud Appointed as Acting Chief Judge in KanoKano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has appointed a Christian woman, Patricia Mahmoud as the “Acting Chief Jugde” of Kano state.

Patricia has been denied of this opportunity on two occasions to be the Chief Judge of Kano state because of her state of origin.

Gov Rabiu said the reason why he appointed Justice Patricia was because it’s in compliance with section 271 subsection 4 of the Nigerian Constitution, where the most senior judge acts as Chief Judge pending the appointment of a substantive Chief Judge.

Justice Patricia is said to replace Justice Shehu Atiku who retired from judicial service. Patricia is married to a Kano state indigene Mr A.B. Mahmoud, SAN, a one-tine Solicitor General and attorney General and Commissioner of Justice of Kano State.
