Yoruba movie actor, Femi Branch is reportedly facing a criminal charges at the Ikeja Magistrates after he allegedly issued a dud cheque worth of N1.5million to De Santo Hotel in Ikeja. A close source said the actor checked in the hotel for months and issued a dud cheque.
The manager of the hotel went to the police and lodge a complaint about the incident. He was arrested and charged to Ikeja magistrate court 1 on the 20 of November, 2015.
However, the actor was released on bail and paid N500,000 due to self-recognition. In the court ruling, Femi Branch was remanded in Kirikiri Prison until he could fulfill his bail condition.
According to reports it took some weeks for the actor to meet his bail charge. Then After he was bailed, Femi Branch hosted the Best of Nollywood awards in Ondo state recently.
His case has now been adjourned to January 6, 2016.
