25 Born Again Christians Return Their WAEC Results Because They Cheated; Nigerians React

bornagainSome 25 Nigerians have returned their WAEC results which they say they passed because they cheated. The Sun confirms that the citizens are ‘born again’ Christians who sat for the examination at school or private centres, and that the results were ‘acquired through fraudulent means’. And so, to obey the doctrine of restitution, they decided to return the results.

The breakdown of the year of examination revealed that the examinations include both those taken during the May/June and the November/December timetable. One of the candidates’ result dates back to 1980.

"What we are Simply Saying is That FG Should Use Public Funds to Fund Public Education. Chris Ngige is Naive on This Issue" – ASUU

This is not the first time candidates would be returning their results. In 2014, 15 Christians did same, confirming that they committed fraud.

And how are Nigerians reacting to this story? Here’s what many think:

born1-2 born2-3 born3-2 born4-2 born5-1 born6-2

  1. “O ma se o”. In the first instance if they are well-off educationally and financially they will not fail or cheat. I think the proper thing to do is to reconcile with their God/maker and continue from where they are wen they become born again. I don’t beliieve it is everything dat needs to be restituted physically. What of if a man rapes a woman or deflowered her? Will restitution reverse the damage or erase d hatred from d womans mind? Does it mean they are going back to secondary school level if they are already graduated. I remember one of my close family dat wanted to try it sometime during his youth service but thank God he notified me before d devil succeeded in convincing him to return his O/L certificate to WAEC office bcos WAEC requested him to return his original certificate if he was sure he cheated. Had it been he did it, d only option for him by now will be just for our father to die for him to be left with his own share of inheritance. It would have been so devastating for him now if he will still have to be struggling to get degree.
