Kelechi Iheanacho Insists on Fighting Jesus and Aguero in ManCity

Nigeria and Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho who may not be having the best of times at the English Premier League at the moment,has vowed he won’t be seeking an exit from the club in the summer.

Iheanacho, 20, after his sensational breakthrough campaign last season has fallen behind top striker Sergio Aguero and new Brazilian signing Gabriel Jesus in the pecking order at the Etihad Side under Pep Guardiola.

The Striker amid speculation he is ready to force a move in order to get more playing time, the Nigerian international has made it clear he’s happy at the club and ready to fight for his place, Mirror writes.

“I’m very happy and very grateful to be in this team. I keep working hard every day and when I get my chance I have to prove to everyone I need to be in the squad,” said Iheanacho, who’s scored seven goals in 24 appearances this season.

“It’s a great squad with great players. Everyone is working really hard, so everyone should be happy being in this team.

“I am improving every day. I keep learning and improving and that will help me in the future. I love it here,” he added.

Iheanacho scored the equaliser from the spot as Nigeria held Senegal to a 1-1 draw in an international friendly played at The Hive, London last Thursday.
