“We bought freezer, blender, microwave, a new mattress” – Nigerian lady’s early cooking habit leads to over ₦2 million in support

A Nigerian lady is currently making waves on social media as she receives donations online after disclosing that she now wakes up around 4:50 am to cook for her husband upon learning that her colleague bought him food at his workplace.

The said lady, who goes by the name @_Debbie_OA on X (formerly Twitter), gained attention after she tweeted about her husband and a colleague at his workplace.

She wrote: “I’ve always been too lazy to wake up and get his lunch ready. But the day he told me a colleague brought two spoons so he’ll eat with her, was the day I set my alarm for 4:50 am.”

Moments after her statement made waves on social media, many people requested her account number to offer support.

At the time of writing this report, over 2 million naira has been donated to her by social media users.

In a recent post, she detailed what she and her husband have used part of the money for.

Her statement: “We bought a freezer, blender, microwave, and a new mattress. Been busy arranging 😭🙌🏽 eseun wa o.”

She made the statement announcing what she has used part of the money for while simultaneously thanking those who donated to her.
