United’s manager, Erik ten Hag is hoping to turn their fortunes around after a challenging start to the Premier League season.

However, they will be without a significant portion of their first-team squad for the Group A clash at the Allianz Arena.

Mount and Varane, who trained on Tuesday after recovering from injuries, have not been included in the 21-man squad who are en route to Germany.

The absence of Harry Maguire due to injury is another blow for United. Aaron Wan-Bissaka is also sidelined, along with Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, and Amad Diallo.

Jadon Sancho has been excluded from the first team pending the resolution of a squad discipline issue, while Antony has been granted a leave of absence following assault allegations.

Sofyan Amrabat and teenager Kobbie Mainoo are not yet match fit but are working towards recovery.

On a positive note, goalkeeper Tom Heaton is available for the first time this season after returning from injury.Top of Form
