Out of favour Man United player Van de Beek completes loan move to Eintracht Frankfurt

Manchester United have confirmed that Donny van de Beek has completed a loan move to Eintracht Frankfurt for the remainder of the season.

The Dutch midfielder, who arrived at Old Trafford from Ajax in 2020 for £40 million, has struggled to secure regular playing time during his tenure at United.

Despite making 62 appearances for the club, he has only started six Premier League matches.

Van de Beek has only made two appearances this season for United, playing against Crystal Palace in the league and Carabao Cup.

Eintracht Frankfurt hwo are currently sitting sixth in the Bundesliga, are expected to cover the majority of Van de Beek’s wages and have an option to make the deal permanent for around £9.5 million plus £2.6 million in add-ons.

Aside Eintracht Frankfurt, the 26-year-old injury prone has had a previous loan spell at Everton during the second half of the 2021/22 season.

With Euro 2024 approaching, Van de Beek is hopeful to make the most of his time at Frankfurt to prove himself ahead of potential national team selection for the Netherlands.
