Modric disappointed with limited playing time at Real Madrid, looks to exit in summer

Veteran midfielder Luka Modric, is reportedly disappointed with his reduced role at Real Madrid this season under coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Despite being a key player last season, Modric has found himself on the fringes, with other midfielders like Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, Toni Kroos, and Federico Valverde getting more playing time.

Last summer, Modric agreed to a one-year contract extension with Real Madrid, with assurances that he would remain an important part of the squad.

However, the Croatian feels these promises have not been fulfilled, and he would have preferred more clarity from the club during contract negotiations, Football Espana suggests.

The 38-year-old had hoped to finish his career at Real Madrid on a high note, but the lack of playing time has been disappointing for him.

More so, it is now likely that he will leave in the summer, bringing an end to his 12-year spell with the club.
