Liverpool cruise past Norwich 5-2 to secure FA Cup fifth round spot

Liverpool delivered a commanding performance as they secured a 5-2 win over Norwich City in the FA Cup.

The victory booked their place in the fifth round of the competition.

The Reds took an early lead through Curtis Jones in the 16th minute, followed by Darwin Núñez’s strike in the 28th minute. Although Norwich pulled one back in the 22nd.

Liverpool continued their dominant display in the second half with goals from Diogo Jota in the 53rd minute and Virgil van Dijk in the 63rd.

Ryan Gravenberch sealed the win for Liverpool with a goal in the stoppage time, after Norwich managed to score another through through Borja Sainz in the 69th minute.

Liverpool’s victory keeps them on track for FA Cup success in what is Jurgen Klopp’s final season in charge at the club.

Looking ahead, Liverpool’s fifth-round opponent will be determined by the outcome of the match between Watford and Southampton.
