Ligue 1: PSG prepare €150m bid for Napoli star Victor Osimhen

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are reportedly ready to make an offer worth €150m for Nigerian football star, Victor Osimhen in a bid to bolster their attack this summer.

The Nigerian football star was unstoppable in Italy last season while pushing Napoli to their first Serie A title in 33 years. Osimhen scored 31 goals and provided 5 assists in 39 matches in all competitions.

The likes of Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Manchester United, and PSG have been linked to the striker considering his exploits, but Napoli has pushed up his price in a bid to scare them off.

Le Parisien reported that Aurelio De Laurentiis, President of Napoli, has set a price tag of at least €180m for whoever wants his forward. He had also claimed that Osimhen reached a verbal agreement to extend his contract to June 2027.

PSG is currently struggling to find a new center forward for next season. The Parisians are already practically out of the running for Randal Kolo Muani, on the shelves of Bayern and Manchester United. Remain for them Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen. The 24-year-old Nigerian would have the perfect profile to make an explosive duo with Kylian Mbappé.

Nevertheless, his Napoli club are not willing to let him slip away so easily. The Italian champion wants to continue to take advantage of its prolific goalscorer, especially with a view of going beyond the quarter-finals in the Champions League next season.

Sportitalia transfer pundit Alfredo Pedulla has reported that PSG might make an offer for Victor Osimhen including performance-related bonuses which would be up to €150m.

This would knock out Premier League clubs from the race for the Nigerian football star, with Manchester United and Chelsea seemingly not too sure about going beyond €100m.

Napoli will first meet with Osimhen’s agent to discuss the situation. Should the striker be sold, they have already identified Jonathan David of LOSC as his replacement.
