DStv set to terminate Emmanuel TV broadcast amid BBC documentary saga

Multichoice DStv officially announces the termination of Emmanuel TV ‘s broadcast, the religious network established by the late founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), T.B. Joshua.

This decision follows the airing of a controversial documentary by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), which made serious allegations against the deceased clergyman.

The contentious three-part documentary, produced by the BBC, investigated allegations of atrocities and sexual crimes committed by T.B. Joshua. against his disciples. The investigative report included interviews with at least 30 purported former members and workers of SCOAN.

In a displayed message, Multichoice DStv notified its viewers about the impending discontinuation, set to take effect on January 17, 2024.

The message conveyed, “Dear viewer, please note that Emmanuel TV will exit on the 17th of January 2024. Thank you for watching.”

Emphasizing the impact of this decision, it’s important to note that Emmanuel TV will not only discontinue its association with Multichoice but will also terminate its services on StarSat and several other pay-TV platforms.
