Champions League: Rafael Leao unhappy with AC Milan’s goalless draw against Dortmund

Rafael Leao has expressed AC Milan’s disappointment with their 0-0 draw against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

The Portuguese forward stressed the team’s frustration of not finding the net in crucial games. Milan have now failed to score a single goal in four consecutive Champions League matches, including both legs of last season’s semi-final against Inter.

The draw against Dortmund on Wednesday night leaves the club with just two points from their first two Champions League group-stage games this season.

Leao acknowledged that Milan created chances in the match but regrets they could not convert any. He noted that they need to be more clinical in front of goal. “When you don’t score in the Champions League, it is a problem. We have to be more determined in front of goal.”

Milan’s next group ‘F’ game will be against Paris Saint-Germain, the team that ran out of luck and suffered an unexpected 4-1 defeat to Newcastle United.

Leao recognizes the difficulty playing in Paris, but states that the club is determined to go through the next stage in the elite competition. “We know it is a tough group with good teams, but we are going to Paris looking for the victory. Our objective is to go through to the next phase.”
