“I remain a record holder in Spirit and in history” — Hilda Baci responds to people asking why she updated her bio

Celebrity chef and former world record holder, Hilda Baci, has responded to netizens questioning her over changing her bio information on social media.

Hilda was only recently dethroned by Irish chef, Alan Fisher who has become the World record holder for the longest individual cooking marathon.

After he was announced record holder, Hilda Baci quickly took to her social media platform, X, to congratulate him.

However, many Nigerians rushed to her comments, asking her to update her bio as she no longer holds the title.

She did but some other Nigerians still insist she is a record holder and she did not have to conform.

She then took to her X account to state that;

“Just as Chef Lata respectfully acknowledged the new record holder by updating her bio and later fine tuning the wording I’ve adjusted mine too.
Achieving such a record is no small feat, and I know this firsthand. I have only the greatest admiration for the hard work it took for Alan to reach such heights. Sportsmanship is about recognizing progress, whether the accolade is in my bio or not. I remain a record holder in spirit and in history. Let’s celebrate achievement and the spirit of competition.”
