COVID-19 patient writes WAEC in isolation centre in Gombe State
A Covid-19 patient wrote his WAEC examination in Gombe state Isolation centre today, August 17th.
The candidate can be seen writing the exam by his bedside with an invigilator by his side wearing a full PPE. Twitter user, @OvieSheikh shared the photos and wrote;
“Boy in Gombe who was infected with Covid-19, gets to write his exams in isolation centre. The WASSCE invigilator had full PPE to monitor the process.”
Secondary school graduating students who live in the five English-speaking countries (Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, and Liberia) started the exam today.
This year’s examination was postponed indefinitely in April after it was earlier scheduled to commence in May.
