Alvaro Morata is eyeing a return to Italy and is reportedly prepared to reduce his salary to facilitate a summer transfer to Juventus.
The 31-year-old forward has enjoyed a successful spell with Atletico Madrid this season, scoring 20 goals and providing four assists in 44 appearances.
He is now said to be keen on reuniting with his Italian wife in Serie A.
Last year, Morata signed a new contract with Atletico Madrid that reportedly includes a clause allowing him to leave if he finds a new club.
With Juventus aiming to bolster their attacking options in the upcoming transfer window, the club has identified Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee as a potential target.
However, stiff competition from Milan and Arsenal could prompt Juventus to explore alternative options that align with their sustainable financial strategy.
According to reports in Gazzetta dello Sport, Morata, who still maintains a residence in Turin from his previous stint with Juventus, is eager to return to the club and is willing to accept a reduced salary, estimated to be around €7-8 million, to facilitate the move.
